31st Aug. Cycled into Heidelberg.

Germany is fantastic for cycle tracks and again we travelled completely off-road to Heidelberg. Nice University city.

Ladenburg nr Heidelberg.

Arrived here 30th August, baking hot so went for a swim in the massive outdoor pool nearby. Then a meal in Ladenburg and a couple of pints.the stellplatz is right on edge of town.12 euros a night.electric metre 1 euro a go. Good place. Stayed 2 nights.

25th August back in the saddle heading to Southern Italy but who knows?

Got the tunnel, usual delay, train broke down , get off and on another one. Usual first stop at Peruwelz in Belgium. Early morning set of and arrival at Riol on the Moselle river, Germany. Saturday cycled a total of 25 miles to Trittenheim where there was a wine tasting event on. Now I really like these events but i've got so used to them being free that I begrudged putting my hands in my pocket, and anyway not a great lover of white. Opted for coffee. Next day Sunday went to the Bank/ATM in Merhring on the opposite side to our Stellplatz. Drew some cash without fees and drove back taking in a glass of wine in Longuich. Our stellplatz is one of the better ones with a large pitch, 16 amp electric, toilets and showers for 15 euros.Probably stay another 2 nights .

Nice met up with ex colleagues June, Dave, Peter, linda , Greg and Diane for 2 nights.

10th July. Second birthday bash with Neighbours and close friends.

Sadly on the 1st it was late in the day when we remembered to take some photos and that was when a lot of people had gone home. So for my second birthday Owen provided one or two photographs of what proved to be another great day. The weather was in great form and the wine and ale flowed. Unexpectedly Alex's sisters from Australia joined in.
