Blanes yet again.
Having stayed at Solmar several times we decided to try Bella Terra (27 euros a night on ACSI). This is a better site with direct access to the beach and a much better pool area. pitches are larger and generally the area is more spacious with easier access to pitches. plenty of sunny pitches and plenty of shaded pitches. At this time I'd say occupancy is around 40%.
Blanes has some similarities with Roses campsites at far end of a long attractive promenade. About a half hour walk to the main town area where you'll find an excellent selection of bars, cafés and restaurants, all overlooking the sea. Excellent cycle paths take you to town in 5-10 minutes. Close to Bella Terra there are numerous other campsites and a good choice of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. We found the onsite restaurant at Bella Terra very good.
Blanes has a lot to offer and I would recommend it.
Since arriving in Spain the weather hasnt been what we'd expect. We've had a few cool days, one or two sunny days but generally the dominant detail is that of cloud. This has kept temperatures down to around 18 -19. Looking around this seems to be the case for much of Spain.
