The weather in NZ continues to be amazing with temps remaining in the mid twenties. Fingers up to the kiwi's in OZ who laughed at us warning us of the variable climate. Yesterday we went on a 5 hour walk around the beautiful headland outside Kaikoura. Some competitors from a fishing competition landed a small shark and we watched it give birth to about 12 babies before they threw them back. We also saw some gorgeous birds in the woods that looked a bit like finches? Our neighbours had warned us that there might not be enough to fill our 4 nights here but we've had a great time here looking at the wildlife.
Tomorrow we head to Nelson for two nights so if the weather is still ok we might just chill out on a beach before heading to the Abel Tasman national park for 5 nights.
