Friday 13th October, Whitby. A little disappointed in Whitby, for some reason I thought Whitby would be a quaint little fishing town. It wasn't, it was very busy and in parts dominated by fish and chip shops with its fair share of amusement arcades. Still there were some fairly "quaint" parts and we enjoyed walking around the town and taking in the views. The excellent weather certainly brought the crowds out.
as part of a 12 mile walk, took bus to lovely Robin Hood bay and walked back along Cleveland way. Yep did Sandsend and Staithes yesterday and thought they were really attractive places. Don't get me wrong Whitby serves its purpose. We just prefer it more downbeat
