Tuesdays trip into Sydney.

On Tuesday we set off for our early morning walk that lasted for 3 hours and took us around the headland south of Manly. Most notable attractions on this walk included the birds and butterflys we also took the miltary memorial walk and gardens comprised of a path made of thousands of paving stones many of which were enscribed with the names of dead soldiers. At varous points military conflicts involving Australian forces were described in detail. These ranged from the Maori wars to the present day. We were the only ones on this interesting and free walk. The walk eventually led to some great obsetvation points overlooking Sydney harbour. After dinner we jumped the ferry to Sydney centre had another more detailed look at the opera house and then took a 2hour walk around the very lovely botanical gardens. Tired and exhausted we returned to Manly where we had a good meal at our newly discovered 'local'.
