Millau, another overnighter.

Its simple drop off the free motorway just before you hit the Millau viaduct, charges about 12e,then drive into the town and stay at the 2 rivers ACSI site fee 15e. Then following day drive back onto the motorway the other side of the Viaduct. Equates to almost a free night. Millau gets better with every stop as money pours into it's renovation. The main bridge, the river side prom and even the traffic free parts of the town are all looking classier.

Before leaving Grande Sologne....

Had an early walk around the site. Always a pity not to stay these places longer. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. We always seem to be in a rush to get to the Med. Stopped on way to Millau at the Viaduct de Eiffel a railway bridge built by the famous architect who built the Eiffel tower. Impressive but not Brunel.

About 30 miles south of Orleans. Starting to warm up. 17 euros on acsi. Good free WiFi.

Heading to Spain.

Left house about 5am but still hit a it of traffic but camped down at the exceptional St Claire campsite Neufchâtel-en-Bray at around 5pm. We found the aire next door that looked nice but was full. For 2 euros more we got the benefits of a beautiful full facility site. They gave a discount for the acsi card bringing it down from 25e to 17e. Need some sleep.

Southwold

4 days Southend-on-Sea and Suffolk.

Went to Southend to pick up a second hand awning and stayed at Brian and Pats campsite. Couple we met in NZ. Then we went to Aldeburgh for a Sunday stroll and coffee. Lovely place. Pitched up on the Park Dean site in Kessingland, swimming pool club house etc for less than £20 a night lecky included. 3 nights here also included a bus ride into another lovely town, Southwold. Awning looks good, weather dry but cool. Alderburgh

Final Day in Christchurch

Flight out of the city was at 4pm so we all had some time around the house before heading off for Sunday lunch in Christchurch. The food market was busy but we got a riverside table and enjoyed a final few hours with the family.

Sumner for the teachers strike day.

New Brighton

We had a few trips out to New Brighton with Elliot. Generally we had coffee, lunch a walk down the pier and time in the library where Elliot loved the interactive computer programmes.

Hagley Park

Lovely day in Christchurch with a few hours in Hagley where we had lunch.

Hamner Springs

We went off to Hammer having to leave Shanti and Elliot at home as the little fella was unwell. 3 nights in a nice air bnb and of course we had to take in the Hot Springs.
