Two contenders here with the Fronsac coming out in front. 1 A 2022 Chateau de La Riviere Fronsac Dominate taste is a softening of the tannins, strong oak flavour with touches of blackberry. A gentle dryness to the aftertaste. 12 euros E Leclerc. 2 Chateau Pessan Saint Hilaire Graves 2018. At 7 years old some would say there's not much left in this but from start to finish it was a delight to drink. Smell of red fruits gentle and easy. 8 euros E Leclerc.
